To nurture future global leaders, our students embarked on an enriching nine-day study tour to London, UK, from April 25th to May 3rd this year. The trip aimed to broaden their horizons, expose them to diverse cultures, foster self-discipline, and provide a variety of impactful learning experiences.
The itinerary included a visit to the renowned University of Cambridge, where local students led a guided tour through King's College. This offered our students a unique opportunity to engage directly with Cambridge undergraduates and participate in a hands-on science workshop facilitated by a Cambridge medical student, providing an unforgettable learning experience.
Beyond academia, students delved into British heritage by exploring iconic royal landmarks like Windsor Castle and Kew Palace. These visits offered a deep dive into British history and culture, allowing them to appreciate the distinctive Western architectural styles and their historical significance.
A highlight of the trip was the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Here, students observed diverse plant collections and expansive greenhouses, understanding the vital role of plants in maintaining Earth's ecological balance and reflecting on humanity's connection to nature. The Millennium Seed Bank further showcased ongoing global efforts in ecological conservation.
This immersive study tour provided our students with an authentic taste of British culture, fostering an appreciation for both natural environments and architectural marvels. Ultimately, it significantly expanded their international perspectives and broadened their worldview.
