農曆新年中華文化周及元宵節體驗

本校日前舉辦了農曆新年文化活動，校園內洋溢著濃厚的新春氣息。

活動亮點目不暇給：同學們齊聚一堂體驗「撈起」，寓意風生水起、美味又熱鬧；「成語運糧草」挑戰賽則讓學生在趣味遊戲中活用辭彙。此外，現場還有翩若驚鴻的彩虹書法示範，以及掛滿真摯期盼的新春祝願樹。

年假後的元宵佳節，師生穿上各式各樣的華服應節，在午息期間更品嚐家長義工煮的湯圓及猜燈謎，一起體驗元宵節的文化和氣氛。

透過這些豐富的體驗，大家不僅感受了中華文化的博大精深，更收穫了滿滿的歡笑與福氣。

Our school held a cultural event for the Lunar New Year in February, filling the campus with a rich festive atmosphere.

The event was full of dazzling highlights. Students gathered to experience the "Prosperity Toss" (Lo Hei), a delicious and lively activity symbolising a wish for good fortune and prosperity. The "Idiom Grain Transport" challenge allowed students to apply their vocabulary in a fun and interactive game. Additionally, there was a graceful demonstration of rainbow calligraphy and a New Year wishing tree adorned with heartfelt hopes for the year ahead.

After the New Year holiday, we celebrated the Lantern Festival. Teachers and students dressed in a variety of beautiful traditional Chinese garments to mark the occasion. During the lunch break, they enjoyed sweet rice balls (Tangyuan) cooked by parent volunteers and participated in guessing lantern riddles, experiencing the culture and atmosphere of the festival together.

Through these enriching experiences, everyone not only felt the profound depth of Chinese culture but also harvested abundant joy and blessings.

The 22nd Parent-Child Sports Day

STEP UP! RUN YOUR RACE

Building on last year’s theme, “STEP UP! Commit to the Journey,” CMS successfully held our 22nd Parent-Child Sports Day under cool, clear skies. This year’s theme, “STEP UP! RUN YOUR RACE,” encouraged every student to give their all on their own track and keep striving to surpass their personal best.

The inter-house cheerleading competition brought the atmosphere to a thrilling peak, as teachers, students, and parents came together in close connection and showed remarkable team spirit. This year, 12 students broke school records, achieving outstanding results. While every race has winners and others who finish behind, at CMS Sports Day, everyone is a champion because each person pushed beyond their own limits. Even more importantly, we learned to celebrate and appreciate one another, growing together and becoming a better “we.”

Each event that day was more than a test of speed and strength. It was a journey of self-fulfillment, becoming a better self and a better “we.” From encouraging one another before the starting gun to helping classmates up after a fall at the finish line, our students demonstrated respect, perseverance, and care through their actions. From the stands, parents cheered enthusiastically, supporting their children while also witnessing growth in self-discipline and collaboration. Teachers offered attentive guidance along the track, reminding students to put safety first and encouraging them to stay focused on “running their own race,” treating every attempt as a step forward. Whether in the proud moment of a new record or the instant of high-fiving a teammate, we were reminded once again that when we take one step forward and persevere a little longer, we can become better step by step, and bring our “we” closer, stronger, and more loving.

第22屆親子運動會：STEP UP! RUN YOUR RACE

延續去年的「STEP UP! Commit to the Journey」，CMS第22屆親子運動會在清涼晴朗的天氣下圓滿舉行，今年的主題是「STEP UP! RUN YOUR RACE」。同學們全情投入，在屬於自己的賽道上全力以赴，不斷突破自我。各社的啦啦隊比賽更是將全場氣氛推向高潮，老師、同學和家長緊密連結在一起，展現出無與倫比的團隊精神。

今年共有12位同學打破了歷屆紀錄，成績斐然！比賽雖有勝負，但在CMS的運動會中，每一個人都是勝利者，因為大家都成功突破了自己。更重要的是，我們在過程中互相慶祝、互相欣賞，共同成長，成為更好的我們。

當天每一項賽事不只是速度與力量的較量，更是次自我實現，成爲更好的自己和我們的過程。從起跑前彼此打氣，到衝線後主動扶起跌倒的同學，孩子們用行動演繹了尊重、堅毅與關愛。家長在看台上熱情吶喊，為孩子加油之餘，也見證了他們在自律與合作上的成長。老師們在場邊細心指導，提醒同學以安全為先，並鼓勵他們專注於「跑自己的賽道」，把每一次嘗試都視為進步的階梯。無論是破紀錄的光榮時刻，還是與隊友互相擊掌的瞬間，都讓我們再次看見：當我們願意跨出一步、再多堅持一下，就能一步步成為更好的自己，也把「我們」凝聚得更強、更有愛。

Love for Country and Home: ICH Performance and Gala Day 2026

At Catholic Mission School, we are committed to fostering our students' national identity and appreciation for Chinese culture. On 21st March 2026, our school participated in the "Love for Country and Home" Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Performance and Gala Day organized by the EDB.Preserving Traditional CraftsOur school was honored to host the "Cheongsam Button and Lion Dance Craft Workshop" booth at Kowloon Tong Bishop Walsh Catholic School. 

Our Student Service Leaders and Art Ambassadors represented CMS with pride, demonstrating traditional skills and engaging with the community to promote the beauty of China’s cultural heritage.Special Thanks to Our Alumna ManagerThe success of our booth was made possible by the dedicated training our students received. 

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our Alumna Manager, Ms. Cammi Chan, for her voluntary support. Ms. Chan conducted professional Cheongsam Button training sessions for our students during school hours, sharing her expertise and passion for this exquisite craft.Through this service-learning experience, our students not only developed leadership and communication techniques but also strengthened their sense of belonging to our nation. We are incredibly proud of their dedication to preserving and sharing our cultural roots.

「心繫家國」非遺匯演暨同樂日 2026：傳承中華文化

本校一直致力培養學生的國家觀念及對中華文化的熱愛 。在 2026 年 3 月 21 日，本校師生前往九龍塘天主教華德學校，參與了由教育局舉辦的「心繫家國」非遺匯演暨同樂日 。

傳承傳統技藝

是次活動中，本校特別負責了「長衫鈕扣及醒獅手藝坊」攤位 。我們的服務領袖生 (Student Service Leaders) 及 藝術大使 (Art Ambassadors) 表現出色，他們不但向公眾展示了精湛的傳統手工藝，更透過積極的溝通與指導，向社區推廣中國非物質文化遺產的魅力 。

鳴謝校友支援

攤位的成功有賴背後的專業培訓。本校由衷感謝校友校董陳淑芝女士 (Cammi Chan)。陳女士百忙中抽空回校擔任義工，親自為學生舉辦多場中國長衫鈕扣訓練課程 。在她的悉心指導下，學生們掌握了傳統長衫鈕扣的製作竅門，將這份工藝美學帶到同樂日現場。

透過是次服務學習，學生們不僅鍛鍊了領導才能，更增進了對國民身份的認同感 。感謝所有參與的師生及家長，讓中華文化得以在校園與社區中生生不息。
