【International Sports Exchange: Hosting J1 League Giants Gamba Osaka Youth Academy at CMS】
We were immensely honored to have the extraordinary opportunity to hold an inspiring Football Cultural Exchange Day on September 25 at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Football Pitch with the visiting Youth Academy Director and official coaching staff from Gamba Osaka (大阪飛腳)—one of Japan’s premier J1 League football clubs! This marks a historic occasion as the first time a Japanese J1 club’s youth academy delegation has visited Hong Kong to coach local students, providing an eye-opening, world-class experience for members of our School Football Team and Football Class.
Gamba Osaka is a 2-time J1 League Champion and 2008 AFC Champions League Winner, renowned for housing one of Asia’s top youth academy systems, which has produced numerous current Japanese national team stars. On the day of the event, under the direct demonstration and group guidance of the professional Japanese coaching staff, our students not only learned international-level football techniques and tactical thinking, but also gained a deep appreciation for the rigorous discipline and teamwork inherent in Japanese sports culture.
Throughout the training sessions, our students showed immense enthusiasm and dedication, actively engaging with the Japanese coaches and creating an electric atmosphere on the pitch.
The event concluded with a joyful ceremony and group photo session, where every participating student received a commemorative towel. We remain dedicated to introducing high-quality global learning resources to provide a broad stage for our students to expand their horizons and unlock their full potential!
