CMS Smarties Presentation Day “Journey to the West”

On January 27th, 2024, CMS Smarties successfully held a Presentation Day. During this event, they showcased their talents and celebrated their learning achievements as expressive storytellers. Both teachers and students demonstrated their compassion and team spirit through the positive value reading program theme of "Journey to the West." The character strengths from the story came alive during the Presentation Day, fostering personal growth for each participant.

Students from P.1 to P.4 presented their learning journey in different key learning areas within their classrooms, while P.5 and P.6 students delivered impressive performances in the hall. In addition, a group of senior-level students incorporated immersive theatre into four famous scenes from the story: the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit, the Flaming Mountain, the Cave of the Silken Web, and the Heavenly Palace. Their engaging performance provided interactive experiences for young children and parents, stimulating all five senses and resulting in a highly successful Presentation Day.

We would like to express our gratitude for the strong support of parents, teachers, teaching staff, janitors, and others who have connected everyone in the CMS community and made the event even more meaningful. Together, we have instilled a love of reading in every child's heart, emphasizing the importance of reading for learning, living, and leading a fulfilled life. This event marked a significant milestone in the middle of the school year, and we will carry these character strengths and positive values forward as lifelong learners, spreading compassion, commitment, courage, and love to one another. We eagerly look forward to another successful Presentation Day next year.

總堂學習成果展示日——「西遊記」

一年一度的學習成果展示日於1月27日在學校成功舉行。在這次展示日中，同學們化身為西遊記的角色，自信地向蒞臨的家長及嘉賓們展現了他們這一階段的學習成果。老師和同學們齊心合力，讓故事中角色的美德及品格優點展現得淋漓盡致，讓每個參與的人都在學習旅程中得到了成長。

這次的成果展示日，每一位同學扮演不同的角色，在故事情節中盡情發揮才能，用歌聲傳遞心聲，用語言表達愛。不論是五、六年級的禮堂匯演，還是一至四年級的教室表演，同學們都能同心協力地透過情景化的故事，將知識與學習趣味融合，演繹出富有創意的表演。此外，高年級學生更將故事的四個著名場景：花果山、火焰山、盤絲洞和天宮融入到了沉浸式戲劇中。他們引人入勝的表演以及有趣的五感互動為到來的觀衆提供了近距離的精彩體驗。

這次展示日有賴於每個人的積極參與和支持才能令整個活動順利完成。我們共同在每個孩子的心中種下了對閱讀熱愛的種子，從閱讀中學習，從閱讀中學會品味生命的意義，成為終生學習者。透過是次活動，亦能讓我們向彼此傳播仁愛、承擔、勇毅和愛。讓我們共同期待明年的相聚！

2023-2024 CMS Home School Academy - Positive Parenting Workshops (Cohort 1)

We would like to congratulate 17 parents who successfully completed the 5 sessions of positive parenting workshop from 3^rd December 2023 to 31^st January, 2024. 

Parents engaged in activities to understand the importance of positive communication and empathy in nurturing healthy parent-child relationships. They shared different discipline strategies that focus on positive reinforcement and setting clear expectations. Practical examples and role-playing exercises allowed for hands-on learning and skill development. In the final session, we involved children which emphasizing the enduring bonds formed through shared experiences. Overall, the workshops provided an insightful and practical journey for parents, offering valuable tools and strategies to cultivate a positive and nurturing environment for their children.

2023-2024 CMS 家庭學校學院 - 正向家長工作坊（第 1 組）

我們謹祝賀17位家長成功完成2023年12月3日至2024年1月31日期間舉行的5課正向家長工作坊。

家長積極的參與活動，從中了解正向溝通和同理心對於培養健康的親子關係的重要性。 導師分享了不同的策略去增強和設定明確的家長對正向教育的期望。 導師透過實用範例和角色扮演的方法，讓家長練習有關技能。 在最後一次課堂中，並邀請了我們讓孩子們參與其中，透過親子間共同經驗建立親密關係。 整體而言，研討會讓家長經歷了一次富有洞察力和實用性的旅程，學習到透過寶貴的工具和策略去為孩子創造一個積極正向的成長環境。
